The onus of discerning content must always be put on the receiver and never the purveyor. This is the only way to assure free speech for everyone.

News stories on specific “topics” are examined by our staff and then fact checked against other stories and sources. Then those stories are given a bias range (far left, left, right, far right) and a bias rating based on several variables. Then using an aggregate of all of the submissions for each news source a proprietary calculation is run to determine their bias rating. Some, but not all, of the variables used are number of inaccurate statements, type of article (“editorial” vs “news”), obvious omissions, tone and tenor of the article. If a news source does not appeaer on the list, that means it has no articles that have been chosen for a topic.
